Cameron Faculty and Staff raise more than $56,000 for campaign

Cameron University is closer to reaching its new $10 million fundraising goal for the Centennial Changing Lives campaign thanks to the generosity of its faculty and staff.  In February, Cameron personnel launched the Your Cameron, You’re Changing Lives campaign and just five months later contributions total $56,806 to the overall Changing Lives campaign.

“Cameron offers a top quality education under caring faculty and staff,” said CU President Cindy Ross.  “Their tremendous support is helping to reshape CU’s physical and academic landscape and propel Cameron into its second century.”

Nearly 140 faculty, staff and retired personnel contributed to the faculty and staff campaign.  The average gift was $414 and the largest donation was $4,000.  Donald and Yvonne Aguilar; Jack and Judith Bryan; Carla Guthridge, Ph.D.; Loren McKeown, Ed.D., and wife Rebecca; John Morris, Ph.D.; and Don Sullivan, Ph.D. and wife, Glenda as well as anonymous donors contributed at the Triple Crown level, a $3,000 donation spread over a three-year period at a rate of $1,000 per year. 

Contributions will go toward endowed faculty positions, endowed scholarships, university advancement, the Centennial Gardens and the Centennial Student Activities Complex.
